How To Pick What Restaurants To Feature

7 continents, 196 countries, and millions of restaurants - you may be wondering, how in the world does one pick where to eat when looking to fill their Instagram feed with nothing but pictures of the best food from the best restaurants? This can be tricky, regardless of where you live, as so many restaurants constantly surround us, each place serving different cuisines, different customers, and different taste buds. As someone who eats and thoroughly enjoys almost every cuisine, it is definitely a challenge to pick where to go and what to feature on my account. To me, one of the most important components of my account is diversity. Sure, if I were to only post pictures of delicious New York pizza, I would probably attract a high following and receive positive feedback. Who doesn’t like pizza? But what is the fun in just focusing on one cuisine, one restaurant or one food? You never know, there MAY actually be someone who doesn’t like pizza, and then what? They are immediately uninterested in your account. Therefore, I find it important to diversify your account by visiting different restaurants in different locations that serve different cuisines. And diversity does not only mean different cuisines, it also means different atmospheres. Visit the local dive that serves greasy hamburgers and french fries but also visit the luxury steakhouse that you dine at for special occasions. Diversity also means featuring a mix between the most sugary, fat filled dessert one can get and a nutritious, vegetable rich salad. At the end of the day, you are looking to reach a target audience of food lovers and although all food lovers share a love for food, we all have our own preferences. The options are endless when it comes to where and what to eat which means there really is no excuse to not excite all of your followers' taste buds.
